2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Participants from a previous Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’sAlzheimer’s Disease is a global problem. In the United States, someone develops Alzheimer’s every 66 seconds and is the sixth-leading cause of death in our country. This is reality. It does not have to be the future.

This year, Dominion Consulting is participating in the Alzheimer’s Association 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This September 24th, we are taking to the streets of Reston to help in the fight against Alzheimer’s. Dominion is committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. We are hoping you will join us in helping fight this disease.

Make a Difference

The 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s event takes place in hundreds of communities worldwide every year. This inspiring opportunity calls on people of all ages to join the fight against the disease! The Northern Virginia Walk will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2017, in Reston Town Center. Registration begins at 1:30 pm with the Walk beginning at 3:00 pm.

Prior to the start of the walk, at 2:30 pm, will be the Promise Garden ceremony. Each participant will have a flower representing their connection to the disease and be able to place it into the Promise Garden. It is a powerful moment as it reflects all the different ways that Alzheimer’s disease is impacting people’s lives.

While Dominion has donated to Alzheimer’s Awareness in the past, this is our first year with a team in the Walk! We have a wonderful group of volunteers for the team and are ready to support this important organization.
