    Dominion Consulting is thrilled to announce that for the second time, we made the list of The Washington Post’s 2017 Top Workplaces ranking an impressive 21st out 65 similarly sized companies. The Top Workplace award signifies the best places to work in the Washington D.C. metro area. This award is especially important to us because the winners are selected based off the most important criteria – the employee feedback!

    The Washington Post partnered with Workplace Dynamics to provide an independent evaluator of the anonymous employee surveys. The winners were selected based on the highest overall scores from a variety of topics: quality of leadership, direction of the company, pay and benefits, and work-life balance.

    The Dominion Consulting Team at the 2017 SmartCEO award ceremonyLast Thursday, ten of us braved snow squalls and howling winds to attend the (ironically Hawaiian-themed) 2017 SmartCEO Future 50 Awards Gala. Held at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, 2017 marks the third year in a row that Dominion Consulting has won. We all felt excited as the Future 50 award is a prestigious honor for a company of our size.

    The Future 50 awards are awarded to companies that “represent the future of the region’s economy and embody the entrepreneurial spirit critical for leadership and success”. Winners are chosen based on a three-year average of employee and revenue growth. Dominion winning three years in a row is a testament to the success we have had in recent years.

  • IBC, a DBS Company Named One of 2015’s Best Places to Work in Virginia by Virginia Business

    IBC, a DBS Company was recently named as one of the 2015 Best Places to Work in Virginia. The annual list of the Best Places to Work in Virginia was created by Virginia Business and Best Companies Group.

    This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses. The 2015 Best Places to Work in Virginia list is made up of 100 companies.

    Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Virginia. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Virginia and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final ranking.
